Brushbox Keepsake Boxes
This stylish box was designed to utilise recycled brushbox floorboards from the client’s home. There are four individually crafted keepsake boxes within the set which were made to store a family’s most cherished belongings. Brass corners have been shaped and inlaid into the lid creating a seamless and classic looking box.
Rock Maple, Rosewood, Sycamore and Walnut timbers were used to create a marquetry coat of arms pattern and the children’s initials. Hardware on the boxes include, three-lever English locks and a brass latch to release the drawer.
The treasured boxes were finished with a hand rubbed lacquer finish using ‘Aztec Gold’, a process unique to Nicholas Bailey, and also feature a beautiful suede lining.
